May seem like a daft question but currently looking at options for a replacement car for the missus. Looking at lease deals and obviously the business user deals seem better (+vat)
My wife is a self employed contractor, but not vat registered, so does this qualify her as a business user? ( understanding we would have to pay the vat on top)

Whenever I have looked the business rate is same as personal - just less the VAT.

I am VAT registered, but when I leased it was more cost effective to do personal lease, even paying the additional 20%.

She qualifies, would just pay the vat on top.

Sometimes personal rates can't get near the business rates. Especially Merc. They are set by corporate finance and they deal exclusively with business leases AFAIK.
