Have been looking for a used set for a while, preferably leather but no luck so far.

Am going to consider the replicas.. are they worth going for? or should I just wait till I find some genuine Pole Positions?

I would always go for the genuine. Coudn't have a replica...

Aside from the fake Rolex!

Do they need to be PPs? The SPG seat is very similar I think. Although it is a 'proper' race seat rather than a road seat. I doubt there are many in leather mind! Although I bought a scruffy one and had it painted and re-covered in nice leather. It's now my bedroom chair!

I look for these all the time & they're a really hard thing to find in decent knick!

I don't think I could trust the replicas however, what in earth would happen in a crash? You see some really nice bride ones on eBay but sometimes I just look at the sellers & I think they're snide too.

Best bet is recaro furious which to all intents & purposes look just like poles & spgs but are cheaper though only come in fabric. You can always get them recovered at a later date.

Great seats, I bought a pair in black leather for £700 a couple of years ago and sold them on three days later for £1450!!! I wanted to keep them for my TT but couldn't refuse that deal.

Great seats, id hold on for the real deal. You can get lucky sometimes, my friend picked up a pair purely by buying a full trim for a tt as it had poles fitted that didnt match and the guys wife didnt like them anyway so he got the pair for the cost of a secondhand trim (£250!!!!)
