spare wheel + jack

Should i bother driving around with these?

The spare is boarderline legal and I never go more than 2 hours walk from my house.

Is it worth the extra mpg in weight reduction or should i keep it to give a better "balance" to the car?

2 hour walk or ten minutes changing a wheel? I know which I'd rather!

A wheel and jack I'm guessing weighs ~20KG? That will make negligible difference to fuel consumption!
