Finally picked up my first car,a 2001 Punto. Found these two things in the interior (circled) and haven't a clue what they do hehe

Any ideas?

I think the thing above the cigarette lighter is a Clifford Blackjax keypad or something similar, can't help with the other one I'm afraid.

The one on the right is indeed part of an aftermarket alarm system, looks like a Clifford as said.

No idea on the other.....ejector seat maybe?

Agreed on the clifford bit on the right.

If the thing on the left is concave id guess at a port for an aftermarket fob type immobiliser.

Who alarms a punto?!

I just sold mine after 2 and a half years and I could barely pay people to take it off my hands!

youre missing the led bezel on the left

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clifford-G5-Car-Alarm-Bl...

the switch on the right is for a valet code , so if you ever need to remove the battery there should be a secret code you enter via the switch to shut the alarm up

Would you believe, they come like that!

The wife had one, very shiny hard plastics. Awful car but was 100% reliable despite never being serviced in her 4 years of ownership...

Must be easy to steal?

Would have thought be popular with new drivers/students, but it's not exactly a desirable car.

Don't forget to notify your insurance company that it has an alarm fitted above the manufacturers spec

It might qualify you for a knats willy of a discount
