Quick guide to Impreza prices
Discussion
I just am not a great offianado of the Impreza. My Mrs has one, it cost £500 and we use it to tow a trailer full of horse s
t. I have no real idea what the difference between a WRX and an STI is and since the cars are vile little japanese boy racer transport I don't much care. Just trying to help out a friend whose son is looking for one and has been offered one at what seems a good price.

In that case, it would be worth looking on Autotrader and Ebay and compare similar cars...

Had a quick look on Ebay and it seems the asking price is anywhere between 5k and 11k hence my asking on here where the experts are.
I wonder where the 'experts' find their prices from... The exact same places that you can look yourself on the web
Really you'll have no way of checking the actual cost without knowing more about the spec and details of the car. If you're really struggling to find one on autotrader or ebay that has similar spec and mileage then try a parkers valuation: http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/prices/used/
Assuming you have the reg it should be pretty straight forward. I think the free valuation only shows so much though...
Edit: Just checked and the free valuation is normally based around 70k miles and basic spec. You can adjust the options including mileage and equipment and have unlimited access for 24 hours for £3.50 meaning you can value as many cars as you want. Small price to pay for a fairly comprehensive valuation.

your mate and his son should have their eyes wide open before buying an Impreza.. expecially a 2.5 WRX or STI..
Over in scoobynet there is a 40+ page thread about Impreza (hatch) engine failures.. some cars failing as little as 8000 miles.. new engine! (suffers ringland failures)
I dont know enough about the 2.5 to say 100% the 06 model is also as weak or not.. but I would serously check before spending any cash on one.
The 2.0 from 2001 to 2006 is pretty good just use force to avoid those cars fitted with extra 'ebay horses' n road side upgrades.
My 2002 bug WRX is on 113k miles with the stock engine/turbo

Well would you say a 320 or 330 BMW would be a big difference? Or an XK8 instead of an XKR?
Would you say you can be a bit of a prick at times?Hint, the answer is the same as to your question.
He has a perfectly valid point.
was a bit of a crappy attitude though.Subaru prices confuse the life out of me, ahm oot.
