WTF is wrong with folk

Driving along going to turn right the road is very dark, you have to indicate early to slow the traffic as the road is a NSL and dark and the turning is unlit.

Now when I say early I mean a good few seconds before as it is a place people can and will overtake, hence the reason we indicate right early.

So I have this car up my chuff for a good 20 seconds before I indicate (I mean 20 secs of driving not 20 secs of me sat there before I indicate) and I am doing 55mph when he caught me, so indicator on start to slow, I can see something coming out of the turning I want and it is turning left.

So the tit behind thinks that although I have my indicator on and although a car is joining the road on his / her own side he was going to overtake me?
The car joining was forced to brake, I had to wait until they vacated the road before I could turn into it. I was checking the mirror and saw it unfolding but fk me what the hell was the tt thinking or not as the case maybe.

If I had started to turn right as the vacating vehicle entered the road we would have both been wiped out.

My sympathies.

I had some stupid woman, do something very similar whilst I'm about to turn right into a minor road. If I hadn't have done a lifesaver, she'd have taken me out.

I was on a bicycle... she was in a Volvo. stereotype ticked and confirmed.

I'd moved across into the centre, with my right arm stuck out, not sure I could have made it clearer.
