Another reason why personal plates are stupid. (A mini Rant)
Discussion
Why are companies so useless at delivering the service for which they make all their money???????
Happily enjoying the M1 on Tuesday and what I can only assume was a meteorite struck my windscreen causing a massive bang, a big stone chip and a requirement for clean undergarments. As my journey back down to the warmer counties continued said stone chip spread into a series of lovely cracks. Brilliant, just what I need before Christmas. Oh well, could have been worse, the chunk of moon could have hit the bodywork.
I get home and ring my insurance company who look up my details and put me straight through to the screen people having passed my car details on. I give them the reg **53 *** which is a personal plate the last owner left on the car and state it's a 2007 Civic Type R GT which has rain sensing wipers and auto lights. No problem Mr Horne, they say, Thursday morning at your place of work. Brilliant, I double check they have noted the car is a GT spec car with the sensors, they have this noted.
This morning the nice man arrives from National Windscreens. He looks at the car, looks at his worksheet, looks at the car, looks at his worksheet. "It's not a 2003 car is it? We've got the wrong screen."
Urrgggggggh.

That's not really a personal plate issue though.
Isn't it? Pretty sure them taking the reg as 53 and assuming the car is a 2003 despite me stating, twice, that the car is a 2007 with sensors in the screen makes it very much a personal plate issue.ArsE92 said:

In fact, I'd bet £50 that
