Hi,

with these new MOT regs coming in regards to DPF. My car is going to be sold...

I cant be bothered with the headache of driving one with a gutted DPF. Its been a brilliant car aside from the DPF problems.

I'm trawling through the trader and the only cars that come to mind are the Golf GTI's.

It has to be a five door with a large boot. We have a newborn and the pram is fking massive.

Mondeo. Great drive, very well equipped, reliable, massive boot. Sorted!

If the DPF casing is still present how can they possibly tell it's been gutted using a standard MOT tool kit ?

To answer your question - Saab petrol estate surely?

God knows mate.

But what about the insurance?

Surely you have to declare the mod? As I have done.

Cant see them renewing my insurance knowing full well I am hiding a gutted DPF!
