What's the difference between the 2.0T and 2.0T VXR?

I can see 40hp yet there's a second to 62 difference too. Would 40hp really reduce it that much?

The VXR hasn't got massive hp figures, 40hp less is quite a big chunk of what it has, so a second loss to 60 seems realistic.

Take it the 2.0T is in a high spec guise? Look at kerb weights for a start, I was under the impression VXRs had less of everything kit wise to keep weight down.

Suprising, thought would take a big more but then again it sounds reasonable
I wondered if gearing was different too. Weight as said above could also count but I thought it was the same car essentially with different bhp values.

Power - 200bhp @ 5400rpm vs 240bhp @ 5600rpm
Torque - 193lbft @ 4200rpm vs 236lbft @ 2400rpm
Minimum kerb weight - 1548kg vs 1434kg

It makes more power at higher revs while delivering higher peak torque from lower revs and it weighs less. I'm surprised there's only a second in it.
