Forgot to renew my licence after the form arrived in November, so got down to the post office Tuesday, filled out the form, only a couple of lines, they took the photo and checked it all and with my old docs it was sent off. Today new licence arrived !!
Was told by the p/o to expect 2/3 weeks wait.....can't believe it, well done the post office & dvla !!!

Your replacement licence will come back minus your car entitlement but you will be licenced to drive tracked vehicles and fly 747's.

I never renew my licence, it always gets 'lost' it costs the same for a replacement as a renewal but I get to keep a hard copy in case the DVLA fk up.

Government gateway access and recent passport and no need to even leave the house. Applied on a Monday here on a Wednesday, seems at least part of the dvla have pulled their socks up especialy compared to when a totally different person ended up on my licence beefore and took them 6 months to sort, 6 months in which I couldn't drive. 6 months to tell me to just redo my test as they can't find some parts of my licence.

I recently did mine too, I was gobsmacked how pain free it all was! In fact, it was cheaper to get them to do it than do it myself and provide my own photos (which would probably be rejected!). smile
