First of all I'd just like to say what a great forum. Been a long time reader and so decided it was now time to join.

Back on topic, what do you make of them? You see them almost everywhere now and usually driven by the younger generation. They certainly look better than the Corsa's of old but they sure as hell do lack the performance to go with them.

The white ones? They are a limited edition of some sort. (Limited to however many they manage to sell)

Packing the impressive 80bhp Z12XEP that vauxhall have been putting In Corsas since about 1995! They must need the sales of timing chain kits to keep them in profit.

They are a mighty 1.2, although they do look pretty smart for what they are.

Ultimately they are crap cars, its an old design (7? years now) given a spruce up on the cheap to appeal to the yoof.

The standard models are even more crap, the wife has been given a brand new Corsa cdti in appliance white as her company car, she was hoping for at worst a DS3 or Fiesta, gutted is an understatement, they must be really really cheap now.

White and yellow I think.

What I hate most is that some of the drivers think they are in some kind of rocket ship. They like to goad you for drag races of the lights and tail gating when you are also in something that is sporty looking.

They can tailgate me all they want, my car cost £400 laugh

They do look smart though, I have had to double take a few times thinking it was a VXR, until I saw the exhaust and chuckled to myself.

Welcome btw smile

I've always said, it's a pretty awful car

Has no single feature or function that the competition doesn't. Not particularly attractive, not particularly cheap (list price) and a pretty dated feeling chassis

There are so many small cars that are truly fun/clever/fast/stylish, the Corsa is something that is none of these

Bought and driven by people who don't care about cars, therefore have no care or interest in driving and therefore should be avoided biggrin

huge alloy wheels and tiny little drum brakes on the rear, style over substance for the kids, innit.

You can see why the young just passed test crowd like them.
If you had one in stock on a forecourt I think it would not be around long.

They were/are available on a free insurance deal subject to age limit iirc which is quite attractive for lots of people.

They are an incredibly slow 1.2, it must be quite a heavy car.

I've seen quite a lot of them, but I've hardly seen young people driving them...

Vauxhall with the Corsa C, used to do free insurance and 0% finance of the SXI models - which is why 90% of them sold were to spotty 19 year olds. I wouldn't be surprised if they did similar with these 'sporty' 1.2 Corsas with 'sporty' wheels on them, to generate sales.

Unless you are the sort of person that likes that image, they have no redeeming features.

This is true of a few cars on the market, though.

I like them better when the rear drums are painted red/yellow/blue etc.

Proper barry mobiles then.

Not all 1.2's

I bought the missus one for getting to work but it's the 1.3 CDTi engine that the younger generation ignore which is £30 a year tax and goes quite well with a DTUK tuning box on it.

Handles nicely, looks nice, has all the toys you need these days.

It must be a real rocketship, those Corsa VXRs better watch out wink

Mrs Pad had the 1.4 Sxi for a loan car, she said it wouldn't climb hills around here.
It looked nice and tidy little car for a youngster.

Have one as a courtesy car now, it doesn't have the big wheels but boy it's really slow and not a great place to be, it's new starts, the heaters aren't bad and it keeps me on the road.

My neighbours have one, they're a couple in their fifties. I think people just buy them because of the 0% finance deals really, although I must admit I quite like the Vauxhall Adam after having a look inside one.
