ok , this has probably been posted many times but i can't find it .
Im intrigued to think where cars can go (performance wise) in the next 10 years and beyond ,it seems every review i watch/read has the reviewer talking about this being the "best car the company has made" , steve sutclife mentions it in every review , as do many of the journalists. When i see the progress made in the last ten years , i have to wonder if it will pan out the same way.
The new 911 turbo is faster than porsches 2004 carrera gt , and the 458 italia is faster than the enzo , does this mean that in ten years time , we will see 911's that are faster than the 918 ? like wise will we see range rovers knocking out audi r8's?

in terms of acceleration , when the majority of new super cars can hit 60mph in 3 seconds and under , what are the limits there , could we see cars hitting 60 in 2 seconds ?

i see there are great steps being made in infotainment and safety , but i have to wonder what the limits are for performance?

once again sorry if this has already been discussed

top speed and 0-60 wont change much. but the ability to get there with ever more weight, less fuel and less cost will be the way forward.

I suppose you're right , i would imagine tyre technology advances would play an important role too.

No, Volkswagen will spend $20m per car making a vehicle that will do 0-62 in 0sec and Simon Cowell will buy one to get places in no time at all.
