McLaren F1 replica
Discussion
OK, not perfect, but I kinda like the fact he gave it a go and built what he wanted.

So it has the BMW V12 after all, complete with auto-box.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy9pKFLy6u4

Not a bad effort if that sort of thing floats your boat. Those Lambos are, however, terrible.
I agree. Also there are many videos on youtube of his creation:https://www.youtube.com/user/artiplastzabrze/video...
There was an American kit car that was similar to that which was resonably priced. I can't remember what it was called though.
In typical daily fail style the engine in the article looks like a standard BMW V12 with 300hp. That won't do 200mph! Going through his (or his friends?) youtube account I think he tested two different engines in the prototype: a standard BMW V12 and a standard RS6 V8 engine. It appears he settled on an RS6 V8 engine with a well designed louder exhaust/intake and a customised engine management system. I don't understand polish though!

That's not a bad effort at all and atleast it's not a load of gpr stuck over a ford cougar or mr2.

Correct number of cylinders ... engine in the right place. Sure you could convert it to a Porsche G50 or something to get rid of the auto box. Personally I'd still rather do my own styling and call it a Mazur F1 or something, but it looks like a pretty thorough job.
I stumbled across one of the Cougar-based Ferrari replicas the other day. It was £35,000. Thirty five grand. For a FWD Puma with a rather unconvincing body kit. I'm a kit car fan, but that's just ridiculous.

Not a bad effort it seems very close
Still can;t understand him using an Audi engine. The F1 had a BMW V12
I know the LMR engine would be out of the question but could he not have went with a BMW V12 from a 7 series
Looks like he IS using a BMW V12, to me, in the picture where he is working in the engine bay...Still can;t understand him using an Audi engine. The F1 had a BMW V12
