Kind of why I feel there should be continuous driver education, to make driver like this aware of there actions - or lack of them !
Lucky escape for the Honda driver though.

Not bad but not as good as a similar one where the lorry driver didn't know he had a car stuck to his bumper in a similar way and was happily driving for quite some way.

The Honda driver was indeed a twassock, but when I saw the video this morning I did wonder why the lorry driver didn't slow down and let the twassock on? This is assuming the driver had the same perspective as the camera.

Looked like the Honda was in a blind spot as well as not giving way. Fanny...

Doubt the driver would have seen him. The Honda driver could have seen the lorry if he had bothered to look. It does scare me that a lot of drivers out there seem to have no ability to work out what is going on around them. It's as if they are in some sort of coma.

The camera is at the top of the windscreen pointing down, the drivers view would have been completely different and it looks like he would have been in a blind spot, also looks like the Honda driver had plenty of space to accelerate into the gap in front of the lorry

Yep. Can't stand ditherers on slip roads.

I had one the other day whilst I was driving along in lane one. He was all set to join in front of me, I lifted off to make sure it would be fine (busy motorway, but plenty of space at 60mph). He then braked hard as if he'd only just bothered checking over his shoulder and it had taken him by surprise that there were cars. Then he started to move toward me anyway as the roads merged (just as this honda driver did). So I had to take further avoiding action; fortunately I wasn't driving a truck.

Not lorry drivers fault at all, see this all the time. People creeping out of the exit at 40-50mph instead of the national speed limit. Issue here is that the Honda driver was doing approximately 60mph (matching the lorry's speed) and expected the lorry to slow down (it takes lorries about 2 hours to reach their max speed). We really need to lobby for better driver training with regards to motorways, there's just nothing in the highway code to prepare people for how to drive properly.

EDIT - Was driving from London to Peterborough on Sunday on the A1 and me and my partner saw 2 cars, yes 2, use their indicators the whole 2 hour journey. Was absolutely shocking, wouldn't have been so bad if they were doing it when there was nothing behind or not causing any harsh braking or other dangerous situations but three times someone just pulled out right in front of us (bearing in mind I drive with lights on all the time so people can ALWAYS see me) and they looked genuinely oblivious.

I was driving to the shops to get some lunch yesterday. Single carriageway road, 50 limit, straight and well sighted. I see a navy Rover 75 estate emerge from the golf club about 300 yards ahead. My heart sinks just a tad and I get out of the throttle entirely, allowing my car to coast down. Even though I was going no faster than the limit, that 300 yards was not enough distance to coast down to the Rover driver's speed. Annoyed that I have to brake, I sigh to myself a little and sit patiently a good distance behind the car. I've pretty much gotten over it by the end of the road, when we reach a roundabout. Rover indicates right. Damn, that's where I'm going. He pulls out onto the roundabout and to my utter dismay, stops dead at the exit before we were leaving the roundabout to give way to a car which is trying to join the roundabout.

Increasingly regular re-tests and mandatory eye tests with age please.

Judging by the obligatory Rover patriotic union flag 'GB' sticker, perhaps not!

With what justification? What attempted crap line did she use?

How hard is it to get ones foot buried into the footwell and get into a gap suitable for their vehicle's size at a speed which doesnt impact significantly on the other traffic?

(ok, sometimes you need to lift off a bit to get the right gap too, but it's still not brain surgery)
