Tempcover.com "minimum vehicle value"

Looking at temporary insurance for a car I need to take for MOT and do some work on for a mate and getting reasonable quotes from Tempcover. They say that the minimum vehicle value is £1000 - how can they specify this and how will they enforce it?

Anyone used them before?

To be honest I have to tried to get temp cover on a few occasions for myself or my younger brother.

It appears that it comes down to one of the following:

- driver too young
- car too old
- car not worth enough
- car worth too much
- car in too high an insurance group
- driver not having the right combination of NCB/years licence held
- other - usually if it's a performance car some cuff about experience
