Went outside to the car park to get something only to see this parked up.

I absolutely love it. Full carpet interior (if you know them you'll know there is a LOT of carpet inside), long handled 4-speed manual, headunit to the right of the column, solid paint and that V8

I used to be taken to school in one just like this, my love for Rangies started the first day I sat in it.

I must remember to get a photo of our local one; similar to the above but with 40 odd years of dents, scratches and repairs. The lady who owns/drives it dumps it outside the Chinese a few times a month to pick up her takeaway.

Yum, shamelessly pimping one of my own shows, spotted in Geneva for the show:

It was really minty.

The really crazy thing is how small they are by todays car size std! And to think the RR had the "long" 100" wheelbase ;-)

Proper Rangie.

Still think RR keep missing a trick by not making a modern version of this - they could call it the Sport scratchchin

Pale green K-reg sat in my local supermarket car park a few weeks ago. Looked like new! Utterly gorgeous.

Does it work on the new RR?

No. Just... no.

(and it wouldn't work with a photochopped FFRR rather than RRS, either)

Carpet is over-rated in early Range Rovers, you need the old PVC interior smile

I am only aware of 2-3 cars in the world with a complete and original PVC interiors, they are incredibly fragile.

It's a very good design but it never inspired any desire in me as a 12 year old, not even when George Harrison dropped by a neighbour's in his sandy-brown coloured one.

Not to say I wouldn't fancy the new RR Sport, first one I've ever really fancied in style terms.
