BMW e46 coupe door removal

I need to replace the door on my BMW e46 coupe after someone drove into it a few weeks ago.
I have had a look online but can't seem to find any instructions on how to remove the door, most instruction only seem to be for the door card, which is relatively easy to remove
Any one ever tried to swap a door on a e46 coupe and want to give me some pointers?
Once I have replaced the door will I need to get the door lock recoded, the replacement door will be a second hand door which will include all the bits, eg glass, window regulator etc.
Was hoping it would just be a easy old door off, replacement one on and good to go, is this the case?
