Reasonable time to repair van

Is 7 weeks and counting a reasonable time to repair a vehicle (Partner van)?
None fault claim, vehicle still at repairers as I showed them some pretty obvious accident damage they hadn't done when I went to collect it yesterday, I.e. bent roof and cross member!
I ask as I was in the process of selling the vehicle before it was hit and this has f'd it right up.
