Yes I have a Roadhawk in both my vehicles. It has paid for itself in just one instance which would otherwise have been easily disputed. I have the older RH-1 and have just bought the HD version but have yet to try it properly.

Only thing to remember is they can just as easily be incriminating if something is your fault

I've read various threads on these and there seems to be nothing definitive other than the roadhawk, which currently I cannot afford .

Not really. You have an accident, its bad, you are in an ambulance when plod go and grab your dash cam.

You'll probably find having a dashcam makes people drive more sensibly for that very reason

I think if you killed someone in an RTA it wouldn't be your choice anymore!! Which makes your comment irrelevant!

Hardly implausible. Hot heads will be hot heads, they'll soon 'forget' their own camera when the red mist descends. The more common cameras become, the more likely people will end up incriminating themselves. Arrest is the normal response to any bad accident these days, the police will seize any evidence they see fit. If they see a dash cam with no card, expect a strip search and 'waiting for the course of nature', even if it no longer works, it demonstrates guilty conscience.

I don't see what part of that you have a problem with? I didn't say "If you killed someone intentionally" or that it had to particularly be your fault!
