Buckmore Park and Rye House are the major tracks for owner-driver racing. Bayford Meadows is good as well but you must like corners. QLeisure is a fun track but I don't think they do owner-driver racing. Ditto Daytona. Shout if you want more...

Have a look on www.karting.co.uk.

You can't just turn up and "race" in anything.

You will see there are various categories with strict specifications for Kart, Engine and tyres.

You will need all the correct CIK approved safety wear, a race licence and be a club member.

Ask on a Karting.co.uk and go and have a look on race day at your local track.

He states that he made a track in the field. That sounds like to me that it's a off road type kart or buggy. So all those tracks that you have mentioned will not be suitable.

I need to get my daughter into something with an engine. She's nine. Every time I've tried in the past she gets all scared and refuses to do it. That's my New Years resolution, Get her into karting.
(Along with losing weight, getting fit, giving up the fags, fixing the cars etc..)
