Hello guys,
My insurance company have declared my car a total loss and have requested I send them them section 9 of the V5 signed and they will complete the rest.
My question is the my RFL expires on the 31st Dec and insurnace on the 7th of Jan, is it simply a case of signing AND dating section 9 and photocopying/taking a photo of it incase the continuous insurace or failure to tax come back to bite me?

Yep that's all I would do, as long as you've signed the car over before the tax expirey date then it's not your concern. My insurance company have declared my car a total loss and have requested I send them them section 9 of the V5 signed and they will complete the rest.
