Going from 175/60 tyres to 185/50 - issues?
Discussion
The rubber on my 106 Rallye needs replacing. Well, moreso at the front than the rear but I hate running mis-matched tyres.
It's currently got Bridgestone Potenzas on at 175/60 profile. Most 106 Rallye owners seem to prefer 185 section tyres with the profile reduced to 55 to compensate. The tyres I'm really after come at 185/50. Would fitting these cause issues? They'll fit the wheel but will the reduction in rolling radius result in my speedometer rating being off?
If it's going to be an issue, I'll cave and get some other good tyres at 185/55 but ideally, I am after the particular tyre model which I can only find at 185/50...
