I have no idea what sort of vehicle has just driven past my house but i have just heard the most ridiculous car stereo ever, I heard it coming a mile off and wondered what the hell it was this surely must have been some sort of competition vehicle because it was shaking my house quite literally, im not kidding i could hear things rattling in the kitchen and i could hear the pipes under the floor boards vibrating and i could actually FEEL it eek I usually hate silly loud car stereo's but this thing was so insane me and my wife could not help but laugh, ive never heard anything like it in my life, i never thought such loud bass was even possible, as much as i dislike people playing loud music i can not help but be impressed by the magnitude of this thing WOW that was bonkers. Id love to know what kit it was running.

1987 called, they want their song back biggrin

It'll have been some awful bass music instead.

Was this in Peterborough? I was out walking the dog earlier & I heard/felt something similar, it was at least a couple of streets away but I could feel the sound pressure, my dog didn't seem too impressed! Couldn't make out what the music was just bass.

Was there a very hairy and happy looking young lass in the passenger seat?

I had this song on in my van this week. Stopped to let an old lady cross at a zebra crossing with it absolutely blaring out. She tutted me. No taste.

Very loud car stereos produce some strange effects. Many years ago at a car show I stood next to an Escort van which had been filled with over a tonne of concrete and a 14 kilowatt audio system. The owner played a sub-bass tone and while we could carry on a normal conversation our clothes were flapping about in time to the music.

Much like the "brown noise" that allegedly makes you crap yourself...

Do they still do loud stereos? Must be the street corners I hang about these days but I don't hear they anymore - a side effect of car specific stereos?

I remember a while back at the shops, MK4 Golf outside had the bass pumping next level, was rattling the windows and you could even feel it!

Yes you can still make a loud install, this is mine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJg0Qeethlw

Currently being rebuilt for a louder and better sounding install

Ill never forget the day i was driving in front of this white astra van a few years ago, it was playing some seriously loud bass, the rear view mirror in my own car was shaking and the the wind screen wipers on the van where bouncing off the screen from the bass. It was hilarious the bass was super deep, not like your typical boomy chavy bass boxes this super deep earthquake like sound. How you can drive along with it like that i have no idea.

Just what are these people doing to these ears?

I once pulled in to the side of the road and let a car that was a couple of vehicles back pass, then sat there and waited for it to get out of earshot because it was uncomfortable in my car. I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like inside the other car!

And what's the point? It's not music, it's just noise. Painful pointless noise.
