Does anyone work for BMW Service/Parts? 18/12

Long shot here but hopefully someone here works with BMW Service/Parts department.

There's a part that's been ordered on 6/12/2013 and have been confirmed as in transit on 18/12/2013 but currently still not with the BMW dealership. Does it normally take as long?

Also, is it possible to track the whereabouts of the parts?

I've heard BMW are having a lot of trouble getting parts to the UK at the moment. Maybe they have credit issues.

I service BMWs and MINIs so buying a fair bit. Only stuff in the UK is easy to get.

The part is from Germany. Why would BMW have credit issues though... just seems bizarre

edit: also would seem a bit odd to tell me part is in transit if it's not being ordered successfully.

I suppose they normally tell me if it is in Germany and they won't be able to get it. It's been going on for a few months now. Don't know what the problem is. Credit problems was just a guess.

not good news so far...hopefully I'm not getting fobbed off after waiting 3 weeks!
