Issues with trading my car in and MOT certificates

I am meant to be picking up a new car today I'm trading my current car in as Part ex. However the dealer want an MOT cert which I cannot for the life of me find. Direct.gov shows proof of MOT but doesn't give out any kind of certification.

Any ideas?

Tell him this, he can always get a duplicate. Or you can at any MOT station, you will need the V5

The dealer can get a duplicate however you should organise it yourself.

Can you remember where you got the MOT done?

Take your log book and go in and ask for a duplicate.

Your full MoT history is available on the internet, back to when tests were first computerised.

Any MOT centre can reprint a certificate, expect to pay £10+VAT.

Bring your V5 & ID with you.
