Someone has posted this picture over on a mx5nutz and we are stumped at what it is, im sure someone on here will know what it is so here is the link

Agreed, though I think it's just the way the strong sunlight is reflected that makes the grille look wrong.

Unusually, the front number plate is mounted below the bumper. Imagine it placed above and your looking at a Mk1 Escort.

The corona had round headlights but an unusual choice mayby an early jap car don't think it's a ford escort or Vauxhall though.

Look at where the front indicators are: on the bodywork above the bumper. Got to be an Escort.

Could be the light. Also indicators above bumper.

Vivas indicators were below bumper I think

The indicators are below the bumper on the Hillman not above it like in the photo

I think it is, though I am not sure what's going on with the grille. Looks like a Ford oval?
