Evening team!

Due to my focus giving me sleepless nights with thoughts of another injector failure, and/or impending doom from the DMF, and not needing a diesel anymore, I've decided to find a replacement!

My list of my requirements are as follows:

1) at least 33ish mpg
2) easily insurance at a sensible price (22, ok postcode, 6 points, 1 ncb)
3)not too likely to need a massive amount of upkeep, or be prone to massive failure etc..
4) I'd like something smart looking, saxo vts and Clio 172's aren't really my thing,
5) £1500 budget, could possible stretch to £2k, but I really don't want to do that.

Fire away gents!

I think insurance is going to be your biggest limiter. Only 22, 6 points and only 1 years NBC.

Ouch .

Maybe a classic car, to get cheaper insurance may help?

Off the wall suggestion here...

SAAB 9-3ss LINEAR 2.0 turbo (2002) - £1500

0-60 in under 7, 34mpg and should be quite sensible on insurance maybe?

Yeah, I got my pants pulled down with the six points! And I had 3 years ncb before a had a small accident, all in the same year too!

I've looked at saabs before, pretty pricey to insure!
