Make even less sense than the porno Shadow on eBay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unfinished-Project-Kit-C...

I can't imagine:

a) who would do such a thing
b) who would buy such a thing

Got to be the worst car on sale.

Pretty sure this abomination has been on PH before. Wonder why it didn't sell last time?

Presumably paid about £19.5K for the donor car.

There are bits that look potentially costly - seats, digital dash, probably some suspension components. Probably worth more as parts, weighing in the metal.

It's like an Atom.

But then I can't see how £20k go's into one of those either.

OK, I'll be a bit different and say I like it. I am guessing the guy thought he would build something with a tubular spaceframe chassis and some proven running gear. If you don't go with the compromises necessary for a production car (roof, doors, easy access, soundproofing, heaters/air con etc) you should be able to build something stiffer, lighter and more capable than the donor car - that's pretty much what all the self-build Caterhams/Westfields do.

I don't know how he got to £20k, nor why he decided to make it a four-seater but it sounds like the sort of project I may have contemplated more than once in a dull moment ...

I'd give him 500 for it....sell the dampers, engine and seat and weigh the rest in...
