Hi,

Both the missus and I havent had a car for 3 years. Both been driving since though with hire cars. Both 42 so old and previous had max no claims. Ins are saying this is wiped as not been insured.

do any insurers take into account the 20+ yrs driving each we've had with no claims or do we really have to start at square 1?!

Thanks

If you have been driving in the meantime on a company policy so continuous insurance you should be fine.

None as far as I know, and you certainly wouldn't find them on the comparison sites. Lots of ringing around to do.

Oh, and you are 42 - you don't need to use text spk in thread titles. Grr.

Usually an option for named driver/company car or that sort of thing on the online comparison sites?

Aren't there Insurance companies who specialise in Immigrants? Maybe you could try one of those.

Did you go with Adrian Flux or the £60 cheaper one?

sorry i meant that i went with adrian flux - they'll give me proof of 10 yrs ncb after a year so dont even have to stay with them.

Sounds a good idea and worth remembering as I may be in a similar situation one day.

Presumably you have to provide proof of your 10 years NCD?

I sold my last motorcycle three years ago and it would seem that my NCB has now gone too, so if I bought another bike, I'd have start afresh.
