This is the car/vendor in question. I emailed them a few days ago with details of my PX which was valued by WBAC at £1995 and I said I was looking for an allowance of £2500 based on their sticker price, as a point to start negotiations. They say PX welcome. Now the PX is not a deal breaker, I can cash buy but thought I'd ask the question.
No response from dealer what so ever, now I'm interested in purchasing for cash but it seems I am blocked (100% feedback on 48 transactions) and my initial email was polite.
How have I offened this professional car sales business or is this some kind of standard practice I'm unaware of?

how do you mean blocked? The link is to a classified ad, so no bidding or buy it now involved.
I see what you mean. When I go to ebay, my homepage comes up with "recently viewed items", including this car, it says it has 2 bids on it and a link to bid which is where I'm blocked. Link does not appear on the ad? 550M said:
Why doesn't anyone use the phone any more?
Because ebay?Seriously, I email via the correct channels, no response, I try to bid, I'm blocked. So now I got to ring this shower to please, please take my money, smegma motor co ltd, more like.

You're not talking about a DVD here. There are a thousand questions you're probably going to need answered before buy a car like this, and you want to do it all by email?
In the meantime, the serious buyers will already be kicking its tyres.....
Not sure what you mean by serious buyer, I'd be driving it now if they were a serious seller. Bought my last 2 cars unseen on ebay, both excellent cars and simple transactions. I'm phoning them now but I know what I'm expecting following this introduction to their service. In the meantime, the serious buyers will already be kicking its tyres.....
How are you blocked? It's an advert..... It's like saying you're blocked from Autotrader
It's been said many times by many dealers on here that email enquiries don't get treated with the same respect as a simple phone call due to it being a medium used by most time wasting idiots.
I don't get why you wouldn't just call?

Why would you try to imply I'm a time wasteing idiot, they placed an ad and are not responding do you see where the time waster is in that situation? I can try to explain again if you need me to. They are not answering their phone, they have 100% feedback on 103 transactions and have only sold 1 car.
How would you proceed butter face, you seem like a font of knowledge?
I'd find a car elsewhere.
I think you've misunderstood me. Ask any dealer how many email enquires result in sales and they will tell you the same, a tiny amount.
Have they got an answerphone when you call?
I advertise 100 cars on eBay every month, sell lots to people who have seen them on eBay and called/come in, my eBay feedback is 0. What's your point there?

You're not blocked, it's the way ebay classified ads works. That's why all classified ads say " This is a Classified Ad listing. There is no bidding on this item, so contact the seller for more information."Seriously, I email via the correct channels, no response, I try to bid, I'm blocked. My point about the feedback is that a motor company that advertises and sells cars on ebay has no feedback on the quality of their sales and cars for me to read as a little bit of due diligence before a purchase. It seems odd to me. When you sell a car on ebay do your customers not leave feedback, genuine question?

There are two phone numbers on the advert. They are not answering their phone, they have 100% feedback on 103 transactions and have only sold 1 car.

Not everyone is at a PC or connected to an email inbox 24/7.
Use the phone numbers, arrange viewing, pay for car.
Or spit dummy on Internet because you're too stupid to use a phone & let someone who sees this thread use social skills to buy the car.

OP says they're not answering the phone.
Although I just rang them and they said they still have the car, lots of interest though. Best hurry up OP.
LOL no you didn't because they are not answering, I hope you are more honest with your customers. And no there is not alot of interest in this car they will still have it in 6 weeks if they don't give it away.Although I just rang them and they said they still have the car, lots of interest though. Best hurry up OP.
i'd phone them and go to view it if its the car for you, dealer must get lots of emails and ebay messages which they thought was scam. Easy to block a buyer by the ebay username,
also sellers can set up rules to block certain bidders with low score, unpaid strikes and other requirements to avoid time wasters (not implying your a timewaster or scammer)
just to add this is a classified advert so you cannot bid, maybe the link you had has been deleted or something as this seller only has classified listings

Honestly, I have just rung them and they still have the car available. I rang the mobile number.
