New London Black Cab
Discussion
That looks like the clone cars that the chinese would produce and hope that noone sues them
Is that really a Nissan authorised face lift?
Why not keep the original van front end unless tourists are so stupid that they only associate a London taxi with an expression that looks like it someone just stuck something where they shouldnt.
Edit: What exactly was wrong with this?

It's worse that a van with a nose, it's a pastiche that signifies the empty state of the UK's identity these days.
Why are we so afraid of anything new that we have to link it - however implausibly - to our revisionist notions of heritage?
Even the tourists will be laughing at this, for it sums up the UK of the moment perfectly: a thin veneer of supposed historical relevance slapped on the enterprise of other nations.
Mind you, the NY version's no looker either. But at least it's honest:

What's wrong with the current black cab. It's an iconic design which is attributed to London the world over.
Is this a true replacement of the black cab or just another entry into the market place such as the Mercedes black cab vans etc. Sad if it is a replacement.
It's a new entry into the market, Manganese Bronze Holdings still make the TX4What's wrong with the current black cab. It's an iconic design which is attributed to London the world over.

Everything. Engines and gearboxes prehistoric, emissions, access for wheelchairs not great, only five seats and not much room for luggage, catastrophicaly expensive to overhaul and run, pretty ugly in modern guise.FIL and BIL are cab drivers - they hate the things.
