Dreaming of summer I wonder could you just take the front doors of a Defender 110. Is it illegal, would it full apart (more than usual). I cannot believe that the doors add much to the structural rigidity?

Many years ago my cousin had one of those old Ford Transits with sliding doors. He used to drive it round in the summer with them open. Had many a ride as a young boy. Good times smile

The UPS van that delivers near me has sliding doors which are usually open.

It depends if you can work out how to mount the door mirrors as they are mounted to the the top door hinge

and it would look kind of silly if you have a hardtop
