After 5 wonderful (mostly) years I'm contemplating selling my TVR Chimaera, but what do I replace it with?
The budget will be £10K tops. The car will be a daily driver and kept outside
All the 'normal' cars I've driven seem a bit detached and boring compared to the Chim'
Any suggestions folks? ears

Would prefer the winged version! Some of the trim is 'interesting'
Hadn't thought of Saab's though, thanks

That's what I thought, something dodgy haha.

Definitely agree with the cossy suggestion though.

every person i know who sold their TVR said it was the worst decision they ever made, unless it was to buy a faster TVR smile

This is what worries me... Unfortunately a faster TVR is, realistically, out of my reach (I don't want to go near a cheap Cerb!!)
Tuscan and Tamora's are getting further away from my budget weeping (for now)

That cossy is lovely, but it would be a shame to use such car everyday. And I'd be worried about it getting nicked!!!

Non boring daily driver up to 10k?
You'll need some sort of Alfa GTA then, 156 or 147.
The very best ones are approaching 10k now, but you will get a very nice one for a few thousand less.

Never owned/driven an Alfa, but do like 'em. Pity an SZ is way out of my price range

Like M5's, but love the 8 series; looks like there are a few nice ones I can afford smile

Agreed, I walk past an 840 every day on the way to the station after work and it looks incredible. I think the guy who owns it has two, as it alternates between a dark blue/grey one and a silver one. The problem I have is I don't feel they have the pace for the looks, apart from the CSI and Alpina models.

Ticks a lot of boxes for me lick
What's all the fuss about rear subframes, and what are the symptoms of a knackered one?

They crack, don't know why, probally to do with the amount of power.

Mine just had its boot floor replaced for free by BMW just before I bought it. Car must be under 10 years old. Still a £450 bill as the warranty doesn't cover clips etc...
