Hi all. Put the in the French bit but it's a bit of a ghost town in there.

My sisters 206 1.9d has overheated and seized. To cut it short she needs a 'new' engine.

I was wondering if a DW8 engine from a Berlingo, Partner van or the 306 is a straight swap or not? Or do I need to source another 206 engine?

Thanks for any help

Engine code can be found in both Peugeots and Citroens in the chassis number. I recommend matching these.

It'll be the 6th, 7th and 8th digits.

Also, check the make of the diesel pump. I think there may be a couple of types.

Thank you. Great help.

would a fuel pump make a difference to the engine block used?
