Hi I'm new to the forums, been browsing for a while.

I am guessing these threads come up all the time but would appreciate some help. Owned some quick cars in the past Civic Type-R and 250bhp Cupra-R. Recently had a 2.5 V6 Mondeo ST24 and currently running about in a Micra!

Criteria is:

- 2k budget (may go slightly over)
- Petrol
- Under 100k miles
- Preferably FWD or 4WD, open to consideration though
- 2.5 and under

Much appreciated!

What style of car are you after? Saloon, estate, coupe, convertible etc?

I'd look at the best Civic Type R (EP3) I could afford, great fun and hot hatches with a high revving N/A engines aren't going to be around for much longer!

Fits all of your criteria (budget may be tight for a good one) but I loved mine!

Open to anything really. Thanks for the replies, all possibilities.

Had an EP3 before, don't really fancy another one.

Open to anything you say?

A bit left field I know but certainly something different.

Interesting but too old. 2000 or newer!

Hyundai Coupe, £2k will easily get you a decent 2ltr from around 2004/5/6. Not fast by any means but they handle better than a lot of people think...

Biased based on having had a couple previously but, judging by your criteria and previous cars, have you considered an Impreza?

Can't guarantee you'll find a good un within budget but there are good ones out there...

Beaten to it by Dani but the budget buys a stylish dollop of 6 cylinder gtv.
