Are they one time use only?

I read on a tyre website at some point a while ago that they are considered as a single use item only.

Is this right?

I can't see why if they are not used for long, have good tread and no damage and are not too old.

Got a link? I suspect not.

The definitive answer is that the same rules apply to temporary spares as to all other tyres. As long as they are in roadworthy condition (legal tread etc.) they can be used.

That is my line of thinking too.

Can't recall the site now but at a guess I suspect it's owner was thinking of the old bell on the till dinging away!
