Currently leasing a Citroen DS4 petrol turbo thing that (thankfully) goes back in March, & we also have a Boxster that the missus uses daily & I use to drive briskly on twisty moorland roads on dry days.

Fancy buying something that I'll keep maintained but run into the ground as a family shed, with room for 2 dogs in the back, but won't be too high or low to get in and out of as I do volunteer driving ferrying frail old pensioners about most days.

Looking for a few toys (heated leather seats, panoramic sunroof, cruise, parking sensors etc), not at all concerned about fuel economy but most importantly, it must have some proper poke and be fun to drive.

So far I can't see past a Subaru Forester XT, but I'd be delighted if you learned chaps could find me something even better.

Ta in advance.

Honda accord estate. 2.4 petrol - and put £3500 in the bank.

Hmmm, not too many about, usually galactic mileage and, well, it's a mothafukin Volvo.

That's a decent shout for practicality, and toys, but I don't know if I could live with the stately 8.4 secs 0-62 numbers.

For that money, I looked at an Audi S4.
Comfy, fast and practical. Great v8 soundtrack and respectable when it needs to be.

Stick the dogs in the boot and leave it open. Then it's the ideal car

Even a 320 is hardly a rocket.

Audi S6 Avant V8. Hides in the shadow of the RS and very tempting prices. £7k gets you into the thick of it.

Just noticed a Chrysler 300C 5.7 V8 estate under budget as well.
