Visiting dealer on Sunday

Is it better to visit a dealer at the weekend or on a weekday. I am probably gonna test a car out this Sunday, however only the sales department is open. The service department is closed. I am afraid that if I ask to be shown something/ find out something that requires the input of a mechanic, the sales person might not be able to help. Its also about 180 miles away so cant be arsed making second trip.

Sounds like you'd be better off visiting on a week day.

Like you say; if it isn't possible to find out in advance and you would prefer to make a single trip take a day off work.

Most service departments are open till lunch on Saturday. Weekdays are often the best though, you'll have more time to spend as it is usually a little quieter. Either way make an appointment before you head over.
