Is it legal to park on this country lane, speed limit is 60mph, it is very narrow and may obstruct some traffic. There is also no parking restriction signs, nor any lines on the side of the road.

However I have no other choice as I will be doing some work putting up fencing in the field along the road and cant not take the car into the field as there is no access.

I could also put up cones in front and behind my car if that helps ?

Thanks

Errr that's not narrow,there's 2 lanes.

I drive my HGV down roads with the bushes rubbing the mirrors on BOTH sides.

yes but drivers still give funny looks when I try to stop my car there because they have to give way to the oncoming traffic to get past me

Probably legal, but not ideal. I'd put it up the kerb and get as far off of the road as possible.

Illegal to stop where there are double white lines, and if I remember correctly it's endorsable as well.

Illegal:

Highway Code Rule 240

You MUST NOT stop or park on

a road marked with double white lines, even when a broken white line is on your side of the road, except to pick up or set down passengers, or to load or unload goods

But..... to go past you they would have to cross 2 solid white lines! That's like a divide by zero error wink

I don't think you can stop on double white lines - though there are a few exceptions...

(3) Nothing in paragraph (2)(a) shall apply so as to prevent a vehicle stopping on any length of road so long as may be necessary for any of the purposes specified in paragraph (4) if the vehicle cannot be used for such a purpose without stopping on the length of road.

(4) The purposes are—

(b)to enable goods to be loaded on to or to be unloaded from the vehicle,
(c)to enable the vehicle to be used in connection with—
(i)any operation involving building, demolition or excavation;
Perhaps pushing your luck a bit to say your fences are "goods" and you need to build them up? You also need to make a judgement on the part in bold, and part C. Does the vehicle need to be there? Obviously if it's a digger or something, sure. But if you're just unloading your fencing bits and bobs, I doubt you'd get away with leaving it for any length of time.

Buy a blow up doll and keep the passenger door open, the filth if they ever go past will think you are just picking up or dropping off.

Stick your hazards on and flip your bonnet. If anyone questions you, just tell them you're bored waiting for the breakdown services to come and thought you'd do some fencing whilst you were waiting.

If you were the Local Authority you'd just park up, open the flask, sandwiches etc but as a private individual, either off load asap then park elsewhere OR get the permission from the Highway Authority and set up TM as per Chapter 8 I'm afraid

Looks like an abandoned car. If I past it a few times a day I think it would irritate me. But I don't and probably never will so I don't care

Sorry I was looking at the mini on my rubbish phone, but still I wouldn't like it.

By your own admission you will be obstructing traffic which is illegal. To say you have no choice isn't the case.

Looks like a gateway/entrance of some sort halfway between the circle you marked & the red car in the distance. If so could you get permission of owner to park there, assuming its not the entrance to the property of the person you are working for?
