Buyer Beware it could end up like Jimmy Savilles Roller

I couldn't a toss if it was owned by MJ or driven by him but the Testarossa is a great looking car

In addition to selling Simon Cowell’s infamous black Bugatti Veyron, at the upcoming Scottsdale auction for Barrett-Jackson, the company will be selling off a rare 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Straman Convertible.

The 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Straman Convertible was limited to just 12 units and one of the most unique design elements has to be the ‘flying mirror’. The single wing mirror is mounted higher up on the A-pillar than normally and gives the car a really unique look. Making the black example heading to auction even more exclusive is the fact it was driven by none other than the king of pop, Michael Jackson, in the 1987 Pepsi commercial called “The Chopper”.[url][url]

MJ sat in the car for a short time...not sure if he even drove it I haven't been able to find the video of the advert.

If MJ was a car enthusiast (he wasn't) and actually owned this car it would be a different story. i would probably have sold my house to buy it.

Needs to be red, a blonde lady in the passenger seat, with Magical Sound Shower playing.

Why do people care who the previous owner was, it's not the cars fault. You'd have to be particularly shallow to pay a premium for a celebrity owned car, the only exception being cars owned by particular car nut celebs.

The link says there is one for sale in the UK for £70,000? That seems incredible value to me.

Thank you. It is a pretty cool car but the MJ provenance is weak.

It would have been amazing if he'd driven this car in the Speed Demon video instead of the Harley.

This is also the original Turbo Outrun car (except black rather than red). That's more of a reason to buy it.

biggrin Just realised that I already had M.S.S in my head before reaching that part of your sentence - it's what Testarossas are all about to those who were 14 at the time!

What a tune, what a game, was in California last year and it reminded me of Outrun, a Dodge Caravan didnt cut it though. Nearest I got was a Red 944 Cab through Cheshire on a Sunny Summers evening so cant complain.

In reality, evening if you were in California, with the Ferrari, the commotion from the passenger seat would not get you past a checkpoint.
