So, after a month of use my BMW has served it purpose and is no longer needed, for a quick sale I put it up for £450 on a free ads site that rhymes with Bum Free..

I shall type up the texts I received today.

Buyer: £200 cash

Me: Lol

Buyer: Them problems you say will cost more than that there's no lol pal my main car is a 13 plate merc that banger you have is for a runner round for my worker

Me: Don't buy it then?

Buyer: Mate f*** off and do1 stick your peice of s*** car up your d*** hole I'm going to auction you cheeky little tramp

Me: lol, wtf?

Seems he was most upset he couldn't afford my BMW laugh
'them' problems amount to a thermostat and tracking.

I've also had some one ask if a bright blue Fiat Cinquecento would get them noticed 'running errands' on a local council estate known for crime!

So any more stories of private sales nonsense?

if you actually replied back with 'lol' in your responses, then you're as bad as him.

If not, well - people are s.

I would have replied with 'Lol' or something similar as well. He's clearly a well-built director driving that '13 plate Merc and doesn't take st from NO-ONE!

You need to be careful since you've put your personal number out there and you cannot know what kind of nutter is on the other side.

I would've just replied with - "Sorry, the price is too low for me. Thanks for the offer though"

You should have said "lol" on the second message, then "meh" on the third one.

I had a similar txt the previous evening and it was all friendly banter, cheeky offers etc ended well.
This buyers almost instant turn to the defensive made me chuckle.

You should write his number on the wall of the local ghey haunt. Emphasise the heated seats in the Merc.

Ive sold quite a few cheap motors over the year and you get plenty of chancers that offer around 50% of the asking price.

I wouldve responded to the original message with 'no thanks mate, its worth more than that'.

Ive never had any issues.

OP said "don't buy it then"

Can't get any straighter answer than that.

Buyer could have replied "i won't then", but these 13 plate Merc drivers don't know when to shut the fk up, it seems.

I particularly enjoyed the use of the phrase "runner round", instead of "run around" yes

Shouldn't you be doing your homework before bed?

Txt him back suggesting he uses his £200 towards upgrading to a '63' plate Merc.
