The buyer is based in EU mainland
I'm in the UK
Purchase price circa £31000

What are the options I have to ensure that funds don't get reversed once the car is off the driveway.

1/ Walks into my bank account with cash and hands over to teller.
2/ ???
What else? My bank is saying bank transfers can be reversed.

Thanks in advance.

Bank transfers can be reversed, a bankers draft can be reversed (if it is discovered to be fake) - cash is probably your best option. Go to your bank together to pay the funds in and the cashier will also check notes to make sure they are authentic.

A bank transfer cannot be reversed after 24 hrs - that is why my bank told me when a buyer from France purchased my car a few weeks back. He paid the full amount over a few days before then collected the car once it had cleared.
