Land Rover Freelander buying advice!

My brother is currently looking at 5 door freelanders been around the 03-06 age group. He has a budget of around £5000 so is looking at the higher mileage TD4 models, and wants to know any problems to look out for when buying.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

There are plenty of horror stories about freelanders.

We have a '54 3 door td4, and the other half is very pleased with it.

A 5 door is a better bet, as is the Auto.

If I was looking I would be hunting down a TD4 Auto SE.

Barge and Poll spring to mind.......better off with a RAV 4 or CRV
