Still get surprised (I know, I shouldn't) by some of the things being made. Here is a "production line" turning out Sunbeam Tigers (or Alpines, not sure which) in Bangkok!

Seems a strange choice of car to re-make - actually thought it was a real one at first (with some custom repairs), then was suspicious seeing another blue one behind it! Of course it is made of plastic.

Interesting! I'd say it's inspired by the Alpine, rather than being a true replica. It lacks some of the finer details; the rear end is the wrong shape and it appears to have four seats! It kind of looks like a cross between an Alpine and an MG. Wonder what it's based on.

Of course we've got the Banham Audi TT replica, based on a Metro. Just why? Why would you want a fake Audi TT?

It looks like an Alpine series 5 to me.

The SV did not have the big fins, and squared off doors, the later SV's did not have the peaked headlamps.

Alpines had a tiny bench seat in the back, some even have retro fitted rear seatbelts. The GT did not have a soft top but plenty had them retro fitted. This one looks like maybe a GT but it does have part of the softtop frame around the doors. The rear wheel arch looks wrong, could be a car repaired with glass fibre.

The Bat pre-dates the production version of the TT. It was basically a "replica" (although I think that's too strong a word) of a concept car that no-one really expected Audi to make.
