Is online SORN notification down?

Reference no is not recognised, never had an issue in the past.

Yeh, they seem to have broken it following on from the change to SORNs not expiring. If it's already SORNed and you're trying to renew, it _should_ come up and say "But you don't need to do this any more".

What's it say if you do a vehicle enquiry? Has it been SORNed, or was it taxed?

Correct - currently SORNed, and will remain so until either the keeper changes or it's taxed.
