So I've decided to take out one of the exceptional lease deals currently being offered on new M5s, however, I'm now running into a bit of an insurance issue. Adrian Flux have said that none of their underwriters are interested in the market as a result of the value of the car (somewhat odd for a performance and luxury car specialist). Can anyone recommend an insurer to speak to?

BMW Insurance's online form came back with £2800!

I did get an online price from Privelege for a touch under £1200, but to get that price I had to enter the value as 50k since that's the max figure in the online form you can set.

For reference:
I'm 36, 3 points (SP30), 9 years NCB and live in Heywood. I also have 11 years NCB on the Tuscan and am a named driver on the missus' car (Honda Civic).

Ta in advance!

Someone warned them about your driving? smile

Have you tried aviva? Always been very sensible for me and you know my cars and profile.

Granted my M5 is an E60 and has less financial worth but I'm with Tesco at a princely sum of £233.00 per year, I'm 40, in a decent PC area.

Might be worth a look.

Just tried Aviva and Tesco. Both "computer says no".

I've just insured my V12V with RSA.

The price was much less than I expected.

Give them a try.
