Someone has asked me to go and look at a Puma for them. I think I know most of what to look for, but just in case I've missed anything...

I'm aware of the Nikasil problems, but is there a way to spot an engine that's on the way out (other than checking the oil level, obviously)?

They rust - rear arches, doors, sills,... anywhere else to look?

Cam belt interval... 80k miles?

Have I missed anything, apart from the obvious things to check on every oldish used car?

The old tinworm is the only thing i'm aware of that kills the Puma.

Nailed it, watch out for the rear beam bushes being knackered as well, although that's not too tricky a job to sort.

Rust will be the enemy, it's really a rubbish design to keep that away!
