Help with this photo / sticker

This is in the glovebox of a car I have just bought. I have played about with it in every way I can in Photoshop and cannot work out the first word.

Looks a bit like Sancrofy / bancroft or something... over to PH! Its old so it might no longer exist but worth a bash...

I'm pretty sure it says Bancroft, I've found this vintage badge which looks a lot like your sticker. Cant find anything about Bancroft Auto Club though

American Automobile Association, first word is indeed Bancroft...

^As above. Quick wiki search suggests:

The Automobile Club of Rhode Island merged with the Bancroft Automobile Club (based in Worcester, Mass.) in 1987 to form the AAA South Central New England.
