Hello chaps,
I am planning to start a part time vehicle transporting business and I am wondering how much roughly might be insurance for this type of thing. I would be transporting max 2 vehicle at once.

Thanks in advance.

Have you done a business model for this?

My gut feeling says, this is very much a commodity business and you will struggle to make ends meet.

Sort of. I am gathering info at the moment. That's why asking about the insurance.
As long as it pays it self off, I am fine because I have a full time job.
This might be just as a part time hobby lol

All depends on your claims history & age euro use or just uk & value of truck & value of the loads carried etc.

Premiums have all gone up due to RSA pulling out of motortrade in 2013, I run a 2 car transporter & this years renewal was most expensive ive paid in 8yrs, & 1st ever i had to split the road risks & goods in transit insurers to separate companies as cost was getting stupid, is now approx £8k pa euro use £200k daily use, upable to million £ with a call. But in 2012 I had all that for £2kpa

Thanks for the info. Is it possible to insure only when needed? For a day or 2. Or this is something what needs to be discussed with insurer?
