What cars should you like, but you just don't

I don't like the Skyline R32, I think it's such an ugly car but mechanically great, however I love the R33, it's one of my favourite cars.

Almost all Alfa Romeos, they say to be a proper petrolhead that you should own at least one Alfa in your life, but I think that almost all Alfa's are ugly cars.

Jag E-Type. From the back it looks like they couldn't afford to make a wider axle.

TVR. Big engines, rear wheel drive and no driver aids. Made in Blackpool too. Should be ideal, but they just look too naff.

BMW E60 M5 (but do like the E60 in general). (seems a bit OTT and shouty compared to other M5's)

Lancia Delta Integrale. (lots of hype, respect the heritage, not the build quality, have seen too many rough ones to have much admiration)

Land Rover Discovery. All Mk's. (love Land Rovers and Range Rovers, just not the Disco?!)

Mercedes except W123 / W124 / R107 & 190E. (ones listed are the only ones I really like)

RX7's. 9Poor man's 944, and I don't like the 944)

Porsche 944's, most 911's, most post Y2k stuff. (Chrome bumper 911 to the 964 YES. 996 YES, 997 YES but the proviso is only C2 cars, the simpler the better.)

Opel Manta's. (love Capri's and other cars of the ilk, why not these?? I don't even understand it!)

Anythng aircooled & VW. Campers especially, cool yes but would not thank you for one except to sell on!

Audi's, except the Circa 2003 RS6 & uR Quattro. (do I need to explain?)

Jaguar XJ post X308 and before the new one. (Blobby aluminium things.)

Sorry if this offends anyone! Feel free to hate Jaguar XJ-S's and BMW's biggrin

Audi R8. It looks nose heavy. Imagine Audi designed a car the shape of a Lamborghini Gallardo - nice and low and pointy with a lovely shallow angle to the windscreen - then made it out of jelly, then propelled it forward at 200mph and jammed the brakes on, then captured an image of the side profile during the braking process as the whole mass of the jelly 'leaned' forward, then gave the pic to the designers and said "actually, we want it to look like this from the side". That's what the Audi R8 looks like. Great car, I'm sure. Lovely detailing, etc. BUT, it just looks like its whole mass is leaning forward in a way that makes me think it's about to tip over onto its front end.
